< Back to news

ATLANTA, Oct. 20, 2016 – To complement the 2016 Venture Atlanta Conference, the Technology Executives Roundtable (TER), an association that consists of more than 120 CEOs, CFOs and general managers in Georgia’s technology community, will feature a panel discussion of national venture capital and growth equity firms at its Wed., Nov. 2 breakfast meeting. Immediately following the meeting, entrepreneurs will be given a unique opportunity to meet with investors one-on-one in breakout sessions.

The breakfast meeting will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7 a.m. at the City Club of Buckhead in Atlanta (rather than the usual monthly meeting date) to accommodate those in town for Ventura Atlanta. The TER event will feature Greycroft Partners’ Will Szczerbiak, Grotech Ventures’ Steve Fredrick, Jump Capital’s Peter Johnson and Volition Capital’s Jake Colognesi in a panel discussion moderated by Chris Maxwell of Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP (MMM). Maxwell, who is a partner with MMM, has extensive experience in negotiating and closing financing transactions for fast growing tech companies.

“What makes this meeting unique is that it not only educates entrepreneurs on how to most effectively seek venture capital and growth equity, but also gives them direct access to investors in breakout sessions after the panel discussion,” said Eric Christ, president of TER and CEO of PracticeAdmin. “When these entrepreneurs walk away from the TER session, they’ll understand the ‘right’ process to follow when nurturing investor relationships.”

Topics scheduled for discussion include:

  • The types of companies venture/growth funds are interested in
  • How an entrepreneur should prepare for meetings with prospective investors
  • The current state of the venture/equity markets in Georgia and the southeast
